The municipal nature reserve Stadssjön is a green oasis in the urban parts of the lake Hovran area. Hedemora municipality is now investing heavily in making the reserve accessible for all.

Along the hiking trail you can walk or roll straight through wetlands, experience rainforest-like deciduous swamp forest, and look out over the open beach meadows where cows graze. From the newly built lookout tower you look out over the beautiful landscape.

If you are lucky, the sea eagle can come gliding, or you can hear the finch singing. During spring and autumn, the reserve is visited by large numbers of resting birds.
