About this experience

Steinkjer church is an architectural pearl in Innherred. It is made of concrete, wood and glass and has a new-cathedral formation with, among other things, a monumental front wall and a free-standing square tower which rises 38 metres above the ground. The church, which was consecrated in 1965 was designed by the architect Olav Platou. Glass artist, Annar Millidahl, designed the magnificent glassworks, based on Jakob Weidemanns original glass paintings (on permanent exhibition in Steinkjer Town Hall). The unique formation and central position makes Steinkjer church an exciting eye catcher and landmark for Steinkjer. Opening hours in the Summer season: 28. June - 8.
