Orkla Industrimuseum
Hitra, Frøya and Fosen, NorwayOrkla Museum of Industry at Løkken Verk showcases the industrial expansion in the Orkla valley.
You will find exhibits on mining and the Thamshavn line conveyed through models, posters, videos and photos.
The railway exhibition is among the oldest material exhibited, including the world's oldest train running on alternating current, the train’s railway locomotive No. 2, and the lavish “King’s Car”, Christian Thams’ private motor lounge car.
The section dealing with mining features artefacts from 333 years of mining exhibited along with photos, videos and models to explain the mining operations.
