About this experience

The walking path Kvernhusvegen is centrally located in Valle. This 4, 2 km walk provides rich impressions of nature and culture.

Here are five restored grinding mills and remnants of several other mills along the river Gryte. Other well-preserved buildings include a blacksmith's workshop, some old saunas and a stable. Start from Valle school and follow the road southward to Harstad. The starting point is by the information board.

The path continues upwards through the forest to the farmyard Tveitetunet and to Brottveit, offering continual views of the valley. Download map
