About this experience

Postal service between Kristiansand and Stavanger were among the first in Norway, and it is estimated that it started around 1650.

The oldest postal road from Lene went over to Oftedal, on the Gold Knot and Herdalen and then to Rom in Lyngdal. The well-marked footpath starts at Bergsaker and ends at Augland. The length of journey is about 1. 5 hours.

A tip is to go half of the trip up to the heath and follow the gravel road back down.
