About this experience

Evjemoen Defence Museum shows the history of the Norwegian defence in the district of Evje og Hornnes in the period between 1911 and 2003.

In addition, the museum features an exhibition on World War II, with emphasis on the district of Agder, and shows various types of weaponry and vehicles, hand weaponry and uniforms.

One part is devoted to Jørgen Løvland, who, after the dissolution of the union with Sweden in 1905, was Norway`s first minister of foreign affairs and later prime minister of Norway 1907-1908.

In 2009, a new exhibition opened, dealing with Norway`s participation in international operations after 1945.

Exit highway 9 and continue towards Evjemoen.
