Convenient roads, rest areas and Øvre Forsland power plants make Forslandsdalen an excellent starting point for excursions and hiking trips.

Access: Depart from FV17 about 30 km north of Sandnessjøen - onto FV78. After about 1/2 km, turn left gravel road before the dam. Parking after 2-300 meters.

Difficulty: Simple. Organized road, information boards. No map required.

Distance: 6 km to rpm

Time: 1-2 hours.

The trip is suitable for those on a trip along Kystriksveien (Fv17), who want a simple but scenic walk. Several organized breaks along the road and not least on the power plant itself.
