Located in the municipality of Ålesund, it is the highest peak in the Sunnmøre Alps, standing at 1,458 metres above sea level.

The mountain is known for its spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, including the nearby islands of Gurskøya and Valderøya. The summit can be reached by a well-marked trail, which starts at the parking lot at the base of the mountain. The trail is of moderate difficulty and takes around two hours to complete.
