Exit from Fv17 at Kjøpstad, and drive across the bridge. Continue driving about 20 km onto the island and then turn right toward Alsvik.

Langsanden Beach is more than 2 kilometres long, and is surely one of the largest sand beaches you will find here in Norway. The large-scale art project, “SALT” was executed here between 2014 and 2015 .

A superb service building equipped with both restrooms and shower facilities, visitors are set to enjoy a nice day at the beach. There are excellent grass areas for tenting at the rear of the beach, and there is a large and nice parking area adjacent to the service building.

It was here on this beach that Elias Blix found his inspiration for “a bright beach between lofty mountains and fjords”.
