The dam and the power plant can only be visited on guided tours, since the road is closed by Tutteberget.

It is possible to walk or bike the last 7-8 km to the canyon. You can also take a hiking tour to the Canyon from Gargia mountain lodge, it is a great trip in plain terrain.

One can also take a riverboat from Sorrisniva or paddle down the Alta River with Glow Explorer.
