The hike starts from Melkevoll bretun. It's steep in the start of the hike between Volefossen and Svedjane. Here are som chains that helps you walk safe.

Continue through the forest with a nice view over the glacier, Melkevollsbreen. The way goes up to a ridge, cross the river from a lake higher up by stepping on stones.

The hike then flattens out through the valley between Oldedalen and Stardalen. The trip through Oldeskaret passes in a westerly direction between to lakes.
