Stavanger Street Art: "Vi er alle like" by Carrie Reichardt
The Stavanger Region, NorwayWorking as a self-titled craftivist, British artist Carrie Reichardt blurs the boundaries between craft and activism, combining muralism with mosaics to create intricate, highly-politicised works of art. Reichardt often speaks about the use of craft and art as a tool for protest and representation, taking a particular interest in women's rights and campaigning against the death penalty. For the work "Vi er alle like", Norwegian for "we are all the same", Reichardt hosted a two-day workshop for youth during the 2017 Nuart Festival. The theme of the workshop was pride and coincided with Stavanger Gay Pride.
