About this experience

Starting point at the parking at Trollbu. The hike to Brenndalen is on a trail all the way. At the small cabin by the viewpoint there is a beautiful view over Oldedalen and Brenndalsbreen. The hike to Brenndalen is easy and child friendly. It is possible to continue further towards Brenndalsbreen, but do not walk on the glacier without a guide. It’s dangerous to pass the huge slopes of naked rocks in the end of the valley, because of avelanges from the glacier. You can take a side trip to Setrane just before you arrive the viewpoint. Here was three small barns in older times. These were used as storage for hay. A new barn was built in an elderly log construction technique in 2016. You can also continue from Brenndalen to Jakobsbu. Follow the signs.
