The Vestre Bråte Farm is one of the oldest in Østfold, and can be found in Ytre Hobøl in an area rich in cultural heritage sites dating back to the early Stone Age.

The main house has remained virtually unchanged since the 1740s, whilst the barn dates from the end of the 1500s and the washhouse from the 1700s.

Vestre Bråte Rural Museum was voted the official Millennium Site in Hobøl municipality.

Opening hours: Indoor and outdoor guided tours by prior arrangement. Catering can be booked for groups. The guided tour can be combined with visits to the other museums in Hobøl.
