About this experience

Galleri Gunne is a part of Bastion 5 in Old Town Fredrikstad. The gallery showcases glass art based on the glass fusing technique. Glass fusing can be traced back to Ancient Egypt, and is a method of melting, shaping and dying glass.

Multiple layers of glass are cut and melted together in order to create different color combinations and designs. The gallery is open all year round and offers a wide selection of gifts and the like.

Glass designer Lillian Camilla Larsen, born in 1961, has a background in sales and product promotion, but for years she has sketched and painted recreationally. She started glass fusing in 2008, at home in her garage. In 2012 she established her own gallery and workshop in Fredrikstad's Old Town, where she creates and exhibits her work.

Lillian Camilla has been trained by several renowned glass artists, such as Roger Thomas from the US, David Alcala from Mexico, Karl Harron from Ireland. She finds her greatest inspiration in nature, the sea and natural light.
