About this experience

Barnafoss, Children's Falls is a spectacular natural wonder located in the Hvítá river canyon in Borgarfjörður, West Iceland. The falls are named after a legend of two children who, in the year of 1150, were playing near the falls and fell into the river and were never seen again.

The falls are a breathtaking sight, with a drop of 12 meters and a width of 10 meters. The water is a beautiful turquoise colour, and the surrounding area is lush and green. Visitors can take a short walk to the falls, and there are several viewing platforms from which to admire the falls.

The area is also home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, fish, and mammals. Barnafoss, Children's Falls is a must-see for any nature lover, and a great place to spend a day exploring the beauty of Iceland's natural landscape.
