Hekla volcano is one of Iceland's most active volcanoes and is located in the south of the country. It is one of the most famous volcanoes in the world and has erupted many times since its first recorded eruption in 1104.

The volcano is part of the Hekla volcanic system, which includes two other volcanoes, and is located in the middle of a large lava field. The volcano is 1,491 metres high and is visible from a great distance. It is a popular destination for hikers and climbers, as well as for those who want to experience the power of nature.

The area around the volcano is also home to a variety of wildlife, including the Arctic fox, ptarmigan and reindeer. Hekla is a great place to experience the beauty and power of nature and is a must-see for anyone visiting Iceland.
