The Vähäniemi and Tohkoo recreation area is located in Lake Iso-Roine.

There are two capes in the area; Vähäniemi on the southern shore and the smaller Tohkoonniemi on the northern bank.

Vähäniemi is rocky and from its observation tower you can admire the beautiful lake landscape. There is a campfire site and dry toilet, and a beach can be found at the base of the cape. For boaters, there is a natural harbour and there are buoy and hook spots at the tip of the cape.

There is an outdoor trail in the area starting from the parking lot.
