Halosenniemi Museum
Helsinki Region, FinlandHalosenniemi, log-built studio home of painter Pekka Halonen is situated on the shores of Lake Tuusula. It was built in the Finnish national romantic style and was completed in 1902.
Halosenniemi today functions as an art museum. The exhibitions, which change a few times a year, feature the works of Halonen and other well-known painters. Pekka Halonen is known for his depiction of Finnish nature and robust country folk. He studied art in Paris, but lived and worked on the shores of Lake Tuusula for more than three decades. He is best known for his paintings of winter scenery.
The museum is open year-round. Museum shop is located in the ticket office. Refreshments is for sale in the summertime.
