About this experience

Saksun and Vestmanna are two of the most picturesque places in the Faroe Islands. Located on the west coast of Streymoy, the two villages offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape, with the sea and mountains in the background. The hike from Saksun to Vestmanna is a great way to explore the area and take in the breathtaking scenery. The route is relatively easy and takes around two hours to complete. Along the way, you will pass through a beautiful valley, with a small lake, and a waterfall. You will also have the opportunity to spot some of the local wildlife, including puffins and seals. At the end of the hike, you will reach Vestmanna, a small village with a harbour and a church. Here, you can take a boat tour of the nearby bird cliffs, or simply relax and take in the views.
