The tour starts from Vestergade 1, situated at the inner harbour in the old listed steam mill from 1853.

Follow the west bank of the canal, and turn left before you reach Norvejen. Follow the path and turn right through the tunnel, where cove now comes into view.

An alternative starting point is the car park in the middle of Lystskoven woodland park. The wood is in public ownership so there is free access to every part of it.

We now pass through the Eu bird sanctuary in Fruer Wood with unusual vegetation typical of an area used formerly as common grazing land.

From here we enter Gerdrup Lystskov park. Please, follow the small arrows that indicate where you may walk in the wood. See brochure.
