About this experience

Islebjerg Church (built in 1978-1998) is an oasis for the 4,000 inhabitants who have settled in the northern part of the town of Frederikssund.

A lively community with many activities related to the daily lives of the parishioners. Sunday services include Holy Communion.

Light shines into this new church from all directions, playing in the many glass curves of the ornaments at the altar, including the greens of the Garden of Eden display- all combining to create a place where your spirit is enlightened, but at the same time a place which makes you feel very small.

When there is no service, you can light a candle, listen, pray, seek courage, peace and so on.
