About this experience

Glassworts: In the dunes north of Stensnæs oraches are growing.

The sees from these oraches are very important food to the birds in the winter.

The nourishing sees from the oraches were also used by the Stone Age Man in flour for bread and porridge.

Wormwood: Wormwood to the snaps can be picked in September at Stensnæs.

Bog myrtle: Along the Nordostvej between Voerså and Lyngså you find bogmyrtle several places.

If you dry them, they will give an aromatic smell in the house as well as a fine taste to the snaps.
