About this experience

The Memorial in Arnbjerg Cemetery was established around year 1955 in honour of the seven resistance fighters from Varde, who died during World War II: Naval lieutenant Jørgen Østergaard, chief police officer Jørgen Bech Simony, foundry worker Niels Jessen, student Mogens Friis, doctor Knud Nordentoft, steel worker Peter Pedersen, and assistant chief police officer Paul Emil Gerner-Mikkelsen.
