About this experience

Ovsted Church is a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture, located in the small town of Ovsted in the north of Denmark. It dates back to the 12th century and is one of the oldest churches in the country.

The church is renowned for its impressive interior, with its high, vaulted ceiling and beautiful frescoes. The church also houses a number of interesting artefacts, including a 12th-century baptismal font, a 15th-century altarpiece and a 16th-century pulpit.

Outside, visitors can admire the church's impressive bell tower, which stands at over 30 metres tall. The church is open to visitors throughout the year, and guided tours are available.

Ovsted Church is a must-see for anyone visiting the area, and a great way to learn more about the history and culture of Denmark.
