Preserving biological
diversity in Norway

About Sabima

Sabima’s mission is to stop the loss of natural diversity.

Before Sabima was founded in 1996 there was no organization that covered the topic of biological diversity. This prompted a number of biological associations consisting of botanists, entomologists, limnologists, zoologists and marine scientists to form the umbrella organisation Sabima. Attempting to positively influence decision-making processes regarding nature and biological diversity.

Throughout its history, Sabima has worked on biological diversity in forests and in recent years on wetlands, especially bogs, as well as cultural landscapes, alien species, oceans and coasts, municipal nature management and general influence on politics and management.

For every booking to Norway part of the proceeds Ravlling receives goes to this charity.
Ravlling wholeheartedly supports Sabima in their mission.
