From the seafarers of the Viking Age to the tourists of today – people have always flocked to Tønsberg. Norway’s oldest city is located one hour’s train ride south of Oslo, along the sunny side of the Oslofjord.
South of Tønsberg lies the beautiful island group Færder renowned for its remarkable Beach and skerries. Thousands of tourists come here in the summertime. In Færder you’ll find the islands Nøtterøy, Tjøme and Hvasser, where you can enjoy lazy days in the skerries, by the harbor or at sea.
