Along the trail you get to experience the forest's versatile appearance, both primeval forests and used forests.
The primeval forest trail stretches through several primeval forest areas and cultural-historical sites.
Today, the trail passes through five nature reserves; Kravattsliden, Kålhuvudet, Hemlingsån, Bågaliden and Vändåtberget.
Examples of cultural-historical sites along the trail are remains from an old smithy that made drill steel for silver mining at Kravattsliden, former summer pastures and old places for patch huts.
