About this experience

The trail is 48 km long and goes over many mountains, valleys and streams.

Along the trail you get to experience the forest's versatile appearance, both primeval forests and used forests.

The primeval forest trail stretches through several primeval forest areas and cultural-historical sites.

Today, the trail passes through five nature reserves; Kravattsliden, Kålhuvudet, Hemlingsån, Bågaliden and Vändåtberget.

Examples of cultural-historical sites along the trail are remains from an old smithy that made drill steel for silver mining at Kravattsliden, former summer pastures and old places for patch huts.
