Kubb is a lawn game where the objective is to knock over wooden blocks by throwing wooden batons at them.

The game can be played on any flat surface, but summer grass is favoured. The game has alleged Viking roots, although this is disputed.

Its popularity took off in the 1980s and there is even a World Championship on the island of Gotland every summer.
