The fishing village Titran was one of the most important in Central Norway with great and good harbor which at times could accommodate tens of boats and hundreds of fishermen.

Titran is located west of the Freya and has many beautiful buildings in a small village by the sea. Previously, it was shop here and festivity when the fishermen gather. The name is often associated with the Titran accident that happened in 1899.

140 fishermen were killed during a night in a hurricane. Stabben Fort is a fortification from WW2.
