The salmon ladder in Holumbekken

Southern Norway, Norway
Slider image
About this experience

One of the largest salmon ladders in southern Norway is to be found below the Møll bridge in Holum, on the Mandalselva River. The salmon ladder is made of stone and oak and was built to help the salmon reach their spawning grounds higher up the river. From August through to November, this is a great place to see salmon and trout jumping at close quarters.

There are picnic tables and benches beside the salmon ladder.
