About this experience

Raet National Park was established in 2016, and is the region’s first of its kind. It stretches from Hasseltangen in Grimstad to Lyngør in Tvedestrand, and comprises some 607 km² of coastal habitats and the waters beyond.

At Raet National Park, you get to experience the Skagerrak coast in a nutshell: hardwood forests, heaths, marches, seafront meadows and bogs, and marine habitats such as mud plains, eelgrass meadows, and kelp forests. It is an area characterised by glacial features, with long pebble beaches, mounds, ice-polished rocks - rounded as well as “whale-carcass” - and vast stretches of deposits.

This summer, there will be guided tours of Raet National Park with M / S Østerøy, read more about this here.
