About this experience

Between Vegårshei and Risør, about 800 meters from the road 416, is the Vegårshei museum. The museum was founded by Julius Grasåsen (1897-1986).

Today, the museum displays a large collection of objects distributed in eight buildings. Here you will find everything from riding and horse equipments, a wood and shoemaker workshop, and an exhibition about building the railway.

The oldest building is from 1840, it was fully restored in 1982. The museum is summer open from June 29 - August 10, on Sundays and Wednesdays. On Sundays the museum presents various themes from the old days.
