About this experience

Stiftelsen Arkivet is an education- and documentation centre based in Kristiansand in the southern part of Norway. Stiftelsen Arkivet studies how the retelling of our local history from World War II can help create attitudes, knowledge, and understanding in order to secure the basis for lasting peace and democracy. The building was the German Gestapo Headquarters during WW2. The centre contributes with research, education and information activities, exhibitions and conferences. Arkivet houses the Institute for Dialogue and Conflict Resolution and the Centre for Humanitarian Organisations. For more infomation and information about the opening-hours look up their own website.
