Arendal, Norway

About this experience

Join a guide on a historical tour of the town among the wooden houses at Tyholmen, the old part of Arendal.

Here you can find a unique collection of buildings which look about the same as they did in the glorious days of sail in this region.

On our way, we may visit the town museum Kløckers Hus, where we get to see how a well-to-do family lived in the 1800s.

Then we can visit the old Arendal Town Hall, Norway's tallest wooden building.

For group reservation contact Arendal tourist office a couple of days in advance, so that we can find a guide for you. If you don't want a guide, there is a map of the trail and a description of the houses you pass on your way.
