About this experience

Set in idyllic surroundings by the Bergstølfossen waterfall in Vigmostad. Staves used in the production of herring barrels were cut to length at the sawmill. The manufacture of barrel staves was an important source of income for the inland villages of southern Norway right up until the 1970s.
