Travel back in time in our brand-new VR world and experience Nordfjordeid as a virtual Viking village. Meet the Viking king Audbjørn and learn about his life and death through the interactive exhibition. Discover mysterious rituals and mythology from the Norse beliefs, and see how the ship was resurrected from the ashes in the burial mound. The center is well suited for guests of all ages and is an excellent place to visit with the whole family. Sagastad is a knowledge center of national format which is anchored in research in collaboration with the University of Bergen. The most central part of the center is the spectacular Myklebust ship. The ship is located in the middle of the center, surrounded by interactive exhibitions, mainly related to the ship and the other grave finds in Nordfjordeid. Welcome to the Viking Age!
