The Folgefonn centre opened in 2017. It is a centre for learning about Folgefonna National Park, life in the Hardangerfjord, the global cycle of water and climate changes.

There are 18 interactive stations and in the auditorium you can see 4 different films about water, geology, life on earth and about deer.

The Skaaluren collection, a small boat builders museum, is included in the Folgefonn centre on the same entrance ticket.
