About this experience

The Peer Gynt Trail is a 90 km long route that follows in the footsteps of the famous Norwegian playwright, Henrik Ibsen. It stretches from the town of Østerås in Oslo to the village of Lom in Oppland county.

The trail is divided into six sections, each with its own unique landscape and attractions. Along the way, you will pass through forests, meadows, and mountains, and have the opportunity to explore the beautiful Norwegian countryside.

You can also visit some of the sites mentioned in Ibsen's play, such as the Peer Gynt mountain, the Peer Gynt cave, and the Peer Gynt waterfall. The trail is suitable for both experienced and novice hikers, and can be completed in one day or over several days.

Whether you are looking for a challenging hike or a leisurely stroll, the Peer Gynt Trail is the perfect way to experience the beauty of Norway.
