Telemark, NorwayLuksefjell, in the northernmost part of Skien, boasts guaranteed snow, providing opportunities to ski from November to April in the highest mountain areas (600-800). There is a network of unattended cabin linked by ski tracks, although not all the tracks are cleared.

It’s about 25 min drive from Skien.
Follow Valebøveien north from the centre of Skien and turn off into the well-signed toll road by the Nisterudbrua bridge. You can pay by card or buy a special season ticket.
