About this experience

Luksefjell, in the northernmost part of Skien, boasts guaranteed snow, providing opportunities to ski from November to April in the highest mountain areas (600-800). There is a network of unattended cabin linked by ski tracks, although not all the tracks are cleared.

The tracks waymarked in blue are summer trails and are often not suitale for use as ski tracks. Svanstul, in the west of the Luksefjell area, is the best entry point with approximately 600 parking places and a number of well-prepared tracks extending along the lake and bogs and up to excellent viewpoints at heights of over 800 m. It’s about 25 min drive from Skien.

Follow Valebøveien north from the centre of Skien and turn off into the well-signed toll road by the Nisterudbrua bridge. You can pay by card or buy a special season ticket.
