Gaustabanen is a unique experience in Norway, located in the Telemark region. It is the steepest railway in Northern Europe and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, valleys and lakes.

The journey starts at the base station in Rjukan and takes you to the top of Mount Gausta, 1883 metres above sea level. The ride is an incredible experience, with the train winding its way up the mountain, through tunnels and past waterfalls.

At the top, you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the Hardangervidda National Park and the Hardanger Fjord. The Gaustabanen is a great way to explore the Telemark region and its stunning scenery.
