Galdhøpiggen | Hiking from Spiterstulen Mountain Lodge

This is a popular starting point for trips to Galdhøpiggen. The trip from Spiterstulen to Galdhøpiggen can be done both with and without a guide, and there are several route options. The most common route is not crossing the glacier, and it is easy to follow the well marked path. This round trip is 13 km. long, with an increase of 1520 vertical meters. The trip usually takes between 7 - 9 hours and can be done with "young mountain hikers" down to the age of 5-6, if they are motivated.
