Canoeing in the Falkum river

Telemark, Norway

About this experience

The Falkum-river lies on the outskirts of the town centre and, given its proximity to the centre, it's somewhere you really can enjoy the peace and quiet. It's unbelievably peaceful with beautiful scenery and wildlife, and it is not unusual to see beavers and roe deer along the banks. Lush vegetation hanging out into the river makes it particularly idyllic.

-The river starts at Fossum in Gjerpen, is 5.2 km long and flows into Hjellevannet lake.
