About this experience

Mosodden is a popular hiking and recreation area by Lågen.

The nature reserve by the Lågen delta was established in 1990 in order to preserve the natural flora and fauna of this important and distinctive wetland area, and to protect its particularly rich and interesting bird life.

Start by Lillehammer Station or by the Circle-K station at Strandtorget.

From Lillehammer Station, walk down to Strandtorget shopping centre (follow Kvenngutua, then turn right as you reach Sorgendalsvegen and left as you reach Sliperivegen).

From Cirkle-K, follow the track through an underpass and then across the bridge over the Mensa river. The route continues north with Lågen on your left and football fields on your right. There is a bird-reserve information display along the way.

Take a break on the picnic benches by the bird observation tower.

Continue along the banks of Lågen, or turn around and follow the same route back to the starting point.
