About this experience

From Mjøsa to the top of the ski jump, and then back down again.

For a more physical challenge, we recommend walking the entire Mesna-river trail from Strandtorget, and then climbing all the way to the top of the ski jump. Stampesletta (Birkebeineren Hotel) is also an excellent starting point.

Instead of following the trail along the Mesna river, you may wish to use the main road from Stampesletta up to the ski jumping arena and then climb the 936 stairs all the way to the top! This is a popular training session among the locals. Stop to enjoy the view at the top before you choose one of the following options for your return:

- The trail down to the left past the chairlift; follow way-marking (T). This leads back to Håkons Hall.

- Via Kanalen and then back down along the Mesna river (follow the road if you wish to avoid the forest).

- Take the stairs and then follow the road back to your starting point.
