About this experience

A beautiful 13th century Medieval church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

The church's Samuelsen organ is unique and extremely rare. There are only two such organs left in Norway that have been preserved in full. One of them is located at the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History at Bygdøy. The other one is at Våler church.

The organ is a so-called cabinet organ, where the pipes are located inside an organ case with doors in front, as with a cabinet. It is presumed built in 1781.

Visits can be organized by calling the church official at tel. +47 69 28 88 30.
