About this experience

Tinn Museum is a folklore museum with antiquarian buildings, which focuses on the old agrarian society in our region. Here you can study local architectural history from the time before the Black Death up to about 1900. The buildings reveal various stages of development and social disparities. The museum offers guided tours in the old buildings, which let you see how farmers and crofters once lived. Tinn Museum also houses a large collection of implements. Here you will find stave church portals, textiles, material from the Second World War and old prints and drawings. Moreover, the museum has considerable equipment and inventory from the old agrarian society. Guided tours are available upon request. Please contact the Norwegian Industrial Workers Museum for booking on e-mail post@nia. no or telephone 350 99 000.
