About this experience

Ruins of the medieval church of St. Clemens, which was built in the 12th century. It had two naves and was east-west oriented. The church was torn down after about 400 years, and the ruins excavated in 1920-21. The ruins of the Clemens church have helped archaeologists determine that Oslo was founded around 1000 years ago.
