Mjøsas Ark – exhibition in Kapp Melkefabrikk
Gudbrandsdalen valley, NorwayMjøsas Ark - Mjøsas museum
Did you know that Vikings sailed on Mjøsa? Or that Stone Age men hunted moose along the beaches?
Mjøsa is Norway’s largest source of drinking water - did you know that Mjøsa was so polluted in the 1970s that it was no longer possible to go swimming? Or that the smuggling of spirits on Mjøsa during the prohibition was just as large as that in Oslo?
Mjøsa’s Ark is a journey through 8000 years, with real Viking swords, real stone carvings and real environmental awareness!
