Gea Norvegica Unesco Global Geopark, Skien
Eastern Norway, NorwayGea Norvegica Unesco Global Geopark, Skien is a unique area of Norway, with a rich cultural and geological heritage. The Geopark is located in the Telemark region of Norway, and covers an area of more than 1,000 square kilometres.
It is home to some of Norway's most spectacular natural attractions, including the world's largest waterfall, the Vøringsfossen. The Geopark is also home to a variety of cultural sites, such as the ancient rock carvings at Heddal stave church.
Visitors can explore the area on foot, by bike or even by boat, and take in the stunning views of the fjords, mountains and forests. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy, such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing and mountain biking.
